Katarzyna Kiedrzynek named PSG number one as goalkeeping hierarchy shifts
Following the departure of Mary Earps, Katarzyna Kiedrzynek has reclaimed the starting role at PSG, while Océane Toussaint and Oliwia Peda compete for the backup spot.

Following a challenging 2025-2026 season, PSG has undergone a significant overhaul in its goalkeeping department. The departure of English international Mary Earps, who left the club upon the expiration of her contract to join London City Lionesses, opened up the number one spot. 35-year-old Katarzyna Kiedrzynek has reclaimed the starting position, returning to the role she last held eight years ago.
PSG head coach Paulo César has expressed full confidence in the Polish veteran, citing her experience as vital for the team. Kiedrzynek has already validated this trust, delivering a solid performance in the first leg of the Eintracht Frankfurt playoff match last week.
Behind Kiedrzynek, a fierce competition has emerged between 22-year-old Océane Toussaint and 25-year-old Oliwia Peda. César explained that there is currently no fixed number two or three, with the two players rotating for matchday squad spots until December. At that point, the club will evaluate their progress and likely send one of them on loan to ensure consistent playing time.
The squad's development is now being guided by new goalkeeping coach Sébastien Moncé, who replaced Mickaël Grondin. Looking further ahead, the club is also integrating 18-year-old Camille Masson, who recently signed her first professional contract with the Parisian side.
