Juventus and Borussia Dortmund battle for Newcastle's Nick Woltemade

The Bianconeri are intensifying efforts to reshape their attack, with Newcastle United forward Nick Woltemade emerging as a prime target, according to Sky Sport Italia. Juventus are bracing for the potential departure of Jonathan David, who is attracting interest from Atletico Madrid. To mitigate this, the Turin side has initiated contact with the Magpies regarding a loan deal that includes a 5 million euro fee and an option to buy.

However, Juventus face stiff competition from Borussia Dortmund. The Bundesliga club is scrambling to bolster their attacking depth following the confirmation of a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury to new signing Giannis Konstantelias. A return to Germany could prove attractive for Woltemade, especially with Dortmund sporting director Ole Book, who previously managed the forward during his loan at Elversberg, playing a key role in the potential negotiations.

While Woltemade remains a target, he is not the sole focus for Juventus. The club remains deeply engaged in negotiations with Manchester United for Joshua Zirkzee. Juventus have reportedly submitted a loan offer of 2.5 million euros with a 30 million euro purchase option for next summer. Management views the move for Woltemade as a complementary piece of business to ensure squad depth during a demanding European campaign.
