Juan Pablo Vojvoda leaves Racing after Copa Argentina exit

Racing Club has officially confirmed the departure of Juan Pablo Vojvoda as first-team head coach. The decision was reached by mutual agreement following the team's exit from the Copa Argentina quarterfinals at the hands of Boca Juniors.

Following the defeat in Rosario, Vojvoda met with club president Diego Milito and sporting director Sebastián Saja. During this meeting, it was agreed that his tenure would conclude immediately. In his 13 matches in charge, the coach managed just four victories, recording seven defeats during his time at the helm.

Vojvoda's position had been under significant pressure for several weeks, specifically following a poor run in the Torneo Clausura that left the team near the bottom of the standings. While a recent victory over Sarmiento provided temporary relief, the cup elimination proved to be the final straw for the club hierarchy.

Stepping in to lead the team on an interim basis are Sebastián Romero and Luciano Aued. Both are currently managing the club's reserve side, which is the reigning champion in its division. They are expected to remain in charge until the end of the year, providing the board time to identify a permanent successor for the vacant position.
