A Turkish sports journalist, Burhan Can Terzi, has been detained in Istanbul following allegations of spreading misleading information. The case stems from his repeated claims that Galatasaray had reached an agreement for the transfer of Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala.

According to journalist Dogan Burak, the Bakirkoy Prosecutor's Office initiated the investigation. Terzi had insisted that the 23-year-old German player was headed to the Istanbul club, despite Galatasaray officially denying any such deal or negotiations with the player or Bayern Munich.

Despite the club's denial, the journalist refused to retract his statements, claiming his sources were reliable and stating he was willing to stake his professional reputation on the report. Following his detention and questioning by authorities regarding the origins of the rumors, Terzi was released.
