Joshua Zirkzee called up to Netherlands squad as replacement for injured Brobbey
Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee replaces Brian Brobbey in the Netherlands squad after the striker picked up an injury against Germany.

Joshua Zirkzee has received an emergency call-up to the Netherlands national team. The Manchester United forward replaces Brian Brobbey, who sustained a hamstring injury during the first half of the Nations League match against Germany (1:1).
For Brobbey, who arrived at the international camp following a hat-trick against Manchester City, the injury is a significant blow. He is set to miss the team's next three Nations League fixtures against Serbia and Greece. For Zirkzee, this represents a chance to return to international duty, having not played for the 'Oranje' since November 2024.
The match marked the debut of the new Dutch head coach, Xavi. The encounter in Amsterdam proved difficult for both sides, with Germany also suffering personnel issues. Kai Havertz was forced off the pitch after 30 minutes, while Jamal Musiala was unable to feature due to an injury sustained during the warm-up.
Germany's head coach, Jurgen Klopp, confirmed that Havertz has already left the team's camp following medical assessment. Both German players underwent MRI scans to determine the severity of their injuries immediately after the final whistle.
