Famous football agent Jorge Mendes held an important meeting with Barcelona officials on Wednesday evening. The talks took place on the sidelines of the club's preparations to officially unveil German winger Karim Adeyemi as a new player on Thursday.
According to journalist Carlos Monfort of SPORT, the meeting included Barcelona's sporting director Deco and Alejandro Echevarria, an adviser to club president Joan Laporta. The primary agenda items were the future of midfielder Marc Casado and the potential permanent return of Portuguese full-back Joao Cancelo, who spent last season on loan from Saudi side Al Hilal.
Mendes also represents Alejandro Balde and Hector Fort, though their futures were not described as needing immediate resolution. The meeting highlights Barcelona's push to finalize their transfer dealings quickly ahead of the upcoming season.
