Jofre Torrents joins Ajax from Barcelona
19-year-old defender Jofre Torrents has signed a four-year deal with Ajax. Barcelona retains 50% of future transfer rights and a buy-back option.

Ajax has officially announced the signing of 19-year-old left-back Jofre Torrents from Barcelona. The Spanish youngster has committed to a contract running until June 30, 2030. Ajax will pay Barcelona approximately 6 million euros for the transfer.
Barcelona, where Torrents developed through the youth ranks, has maintained significant control over the player's future. The Catalan club secured 50% of the rights to any future transfer and included a buy-back clause in the agreement.
Torrents made his breakthrough with Barcelona's first team last season, making four appearances across La Liga and the Copa del Rey, totaling 112 minutes of competitive action. The move to the Netherlands is expected to provide the defender with more consistent playing time and opportunities for development at the senior level.
