Portuguese full-back Joao Cancelo is preparing to join the Al-Hilal pre-season training camp in Austria next Wednesday. The player is scheduled to report following the conclusion of the holiday granted to him after his participation in the 2026 World Cup.
Despite his return to the squad, his future remains clouded by uncertainty. According to reports from the newspaper Arriyadiyah, the Al-Hilal board has no objection to receiving offers for the defender, signaling a willingness to part ways before the new season officially begins.
The club is reportedly happy to sell as the player himself is keen on a fresh challenge away from the Saudi side. Cancelo, who joined from Manchester City in the summer of 2024, has one year remaining on his current contract. Since his arrival, he has made 45 appearances for the team, contributing three goals and 14 assists.
