Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala has successfully undergone surgery. The club announced on Monday, July 6, that the procedure was part of the standard medical protocol following the severe injury he sustained last summer during the Club World Cup match against PSG.

According to Bild, the surgery involved the removal of a metal plate that was inserted during his initial operation following a fractured fibula and dislocated left ankle. Despite the severity of the injury, the 23-year-old German international managed to return to action for the latter part of the Bundesliga season and the Champions League, as well as representing Germany at the 2026 World Cup.

The player is expected to be fully recovered in time for the Bavarians' first official match of the new season.
