Italy squad update: Cristante out, Mancini calls up Ricci

The Italy national team has confirmed a change to their squad ahead of the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches. According to a statement from the FIGC, Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante has been forced to withdraw from the group due to an unspecified physical problem picked up during his club's recent league match against Inter.
In response to the vacancy, head coach Roberto Mancini has called up Como midfielder Samuele Ricci. The player is expected to join the squad at the Federal Technical Centre in Coverciano in the coming hours as the team begins preparations for their opening fixtures.
Ricci arrives following his appearance for Como in their recent match against Frosinone, where he entered the game at the start of the second half but could not prevent his side from falling to defeat.
