Hull City have officially completed the signing of 24-year-old midfielder Elliot Stroud from Swedish club Mjallby. The transfer, valued at £3.5 million, sees the player commit to a four-year contract at the MKM Stadium, with an option for an additional year.

Stroud arrives with a strong pedigree after helping Mjallby win the Allsvenskan title and the Svenska Cupen. During his time in Sweden, he recorded 19 goals and 13 assists in 87 league appearances. His domestic success earned him a call-up to the 2026 World Cup squad, where he made four appearances as Sweden reached the round of 32.

I am super happy and super excited to get started here. When I first heard of the interest, it was the only thing I wanted to do. It's an exciting opportunity. Elliot Stroud

Stroud becomes the seventh arrival for the Tigers this summer, joining a squad reinforced by Jack Butland, Oscar Zambrano, Matt Targett, Hidemasa Morita, Konstantinos Tzolakis, and Jens Hjerto-Dahl. The club remains active in the market to further bolster their depth.

The midfielder is now aiming to make his mark in the Premier League. Hull are set to host Manchester United at the MKM Stadium on August 22, marking their first top-flight fixture since the 2016-17 season.
