Newly promoted Hull City have signed Greece goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis from Olympiacos for a club-record fee. The 23-year-old has committed to a five-year contract with the Tigers.

While the exact fee remains undisclosed, the club confirmed it surpasses the £13m paid to Tottenham for Ryan Mason in 2016.

Tzolakis joins after a successful tenure at Olympiacos, where he made 131 appearances and collected eight trophies, including four Greek Super League titles and the 2023-24 Uefa Conference League. He has also earned nine caps for the Greek national team since his debut in 2024.

I am ready for a new chapter in my career. Hull City is something different because we are playing in the Premier League. We have to fight against top players, so it's a challenge for me. Konstantinos Tzolakis

The signing represents a significant statement of intent for Hull City as they prepare for the demands of the Premier League. Tzolakis, who expressed his excitement to compete at the top stage in England, will look to provide stability in goal for his new side.
