América forward Henry Martín is enjoying a standout run in the Apertura 2026 campaign. Following a hat-trick in the 4-2 victory over Necaxa, the striker has reached six goals for the season.
This performance makes him the highest-scoring Mexican player in the tournament so far. Martín currently shares second place in the overall goal-scoring table with Óscar Estupiñán and Julián Carranza, trailing only Pachuca's Salomón Rondón, who leads with ten goals.
Martín's scoring form comes after a difficult start to the season where he rotated in and out of the starting XI. He has since reclaimed a vital role in the team's tactical setup, maintaining an impressive average of one goal every 109 minutes.
In addition to his recent hat-trick, Martín has contributed goals against Juárez and Santos Laguna. The feat also marked a personal milestone, as he reached 123 official goals for América, maintaining his status as the club's fourth all-time leading scorer behind Zague, Cuauhtémoc Blanco, and Octavio Vial.
