Following a heavy 4-0 home defeat to Oxford United, Leicester City captain Harry Souttar has called for accountability within the dressing room. The result marks the worst league defeat in the club's history when playing at such a level.
Souttar insisted that the squad failed to produce the "bare minimum" required for the game, specifically citing a lack of effort in duels, tackles, and headers. He dismissed excuses regarding head coach Russell Martin's possession-heavy tactical approach, maintaining that the players themselves must take the blame for the collapse.

The defeat has intensified scrutiny surrounding Russell Martin’s future, as supporters voiced bitter frustration after the match. The club, which underwent a major squad overhaul in the summer to lower costs, is struggling to find consistency in the third tier.
Looking ahead, Souttar confirmed that the players are focused on correcting their performance. The Foxes are scheduled to return to action this Saturday against Stockport County, hoping to recover from the setback.
