Gleiker Mendoza officially signs for Shakhtar
The Venezuelan national team midfielder has signed a long-term contract with the Donetsk club until June 2031.

Shakhtar Donetsk have officially announced the signing of midfielder Gleiker Mendoza. The player joins the 'Miners' from Kryvbas following an agreement between the two clubs.
Mendoza has signed a long-term contract with the Donetsk side that runs until June 30, 2031. This move marks a new chapter for the Venezuelan in Ukraine, following a productive spell in Kryvyi Rih where he recorded 12 goals and 12 assists in 33 appearances over one and a half seasons.
Prior to his move to Ukraine, Mendoza played for Angostura and Deportivo Tachira, winning the Venezuelan league title with the latter in 2024. He is also a current international for the Venezuela national team, earning his first cap in January 2025 and tallying 7 appearances for his country to date.
