Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini has offered insights into the club’s current direction, emphasizing the importance of young talents within the squad. Giulini specifically highlighted Daniel Maldini and Alessandro Romano as vital prospects the club believes in heavily for the future.

Regarding goalkeeper Elia Caprile, the president revealed that there was significant interest in the player over the summer. However, Caprile remained committed to the club’s project. "After Donnarumma, he and Carnesecchi are the strongest goalkeepers in Italy today," Giulini stated, adding that a call-up to the national team could be on the horizon if he maintains his current form.

Giulini also addressed the departure of Sebastiano Esposito, noting that the situation over the summer was unpleasant due to the player's dissatisfaction with his wages. He expressed confidence that the club replaced him effectively with the arrival of Daniel Maldini.
