Fiorentina sign Bournemouth defender Alex Jimenez on loan

Fiorentina have officially announced the signing of Bournemouth defender Alex Jimenez. The 21-year-old Spaniard has joined the club on a loan deal that runs until the end of the current season.
The agreement between the two clubs includes an option for Fiorentina to make the move permanent. Previous reports suggested that the defender could become a permanent player for the club for a fee of 20 million euros, with a potential 1+4 contract structure.
Jimenez is a product of the Real Madrid youth academy. He later moved to AC Milan before joining Bournemouth. During the last season, he made 32 appearances, contributing one goal and one assist.
Beyond strengthening their defense, recent reports have indicated that Fiorentina are also exploring options to sign a striker from Wolverhampton.
