Forward Ferran Torres has informed Barcelona of his desire to leave the club this summer. The 26-year-old has reportedly already agreed to personal terms with PSG, setting the stage for a potential reunion with his former national team coach, Luis Enrique.
With only one year remaining on his current contract, Barcelona is prepared to consider a sale if their valuation of the player is met. Torres, who arrived from Manchester City for €55 million in 2021, has transitioned into a key central attacking role for the Catalans over the past two seasons.
For manager Hansi Flick, the departure of Torres would create an urgent need for reinforcements in attack following the exit of Robert Lewandowski to Chicago Fire. While Julián Alvarez is a known target, complications regarding Atletico Madrid's stance may force the club to explore other options.
Torres enters this transfer period on a high note after playing a crucial role in Spain's World Cup victory, including scoring the winner in the final against Argentina. He is currently on break and expected to resolve his future before pre-season training begins.
