Feniks-Mariupol opened their Ukrainian Cup campaign in style with a 6-0 thrashing of Vyshhorod's Dinaz. The 1/32 final match, held on August 20, faced significant disruption as kickoff was delayed by one hour due to air raid alerts, which also pushed back the start of the second half.
This fixture marked the first game for the visitors under new head coach Roman Blavatskyi. The side showed clinical finishing, particularly in the final twenty minutes of the game.
Vladyslav Sydorenko opened the scoring in the 9th minute. After a long period without further goals, Valeriy Kucherov doubled the lead in the 70th minute. The game quickly turned into a rout as Pavlo Orikhovskyi converted a penalty in the 73rd minute, followed by a Serhiy Kyslenko strike just one minute later. To finish the match, both Kucherov and Kyslenko added their second goals, sealing a 6-0 scoreline.
