Turkish club Fenerbahçe has officially announced the signing of defender Nathan Aké. The Netherlands international moves from Manchester City to join the Istanbul giants on a permanent deal.
The club has confirmed that all terms have been agreed upon. Aké is expected to join his new teammates at the training camp in Austria immediately following the conclusion of his post-tournament leave related to the 2026 World Cup.
Nathan Aké began his professional journey in the Netherlands before moving to the Chelsea academy at the age of 15. Prior to his 2020 move to Manchester City for 45 million euros, he gained valuable experience through loan spells and a successful tenure at Bournemouth.
This transfer represents a major defensive reinforcement for the Istanbul side. Aké brings extensive experience from international tournaments, including Euro 2020, World Cup 2022, Euro 2024, and the recent 2026 World Cup, where the Netherlands were eliminated in the Round of 16 by Morocco.
