Jurgen Klopp's official appointment as the new head coach of the Germany national team has sparked widespread excitement across the squad. Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha has opened up about the positive energy following the arrival of the legendary manager, who famously built his reputation at the Westfalenstadion with back-to-back Bundesliga titles.
As Klopp prepares to return to the touchline, players are feeling highly motivated for the challenges ahead. Nmecha expressed the collective sentiment within the national team setup:
Yeah. I think everyone's on a high. Everyone's really looking forward to working with him, with the coach. That would obviously be an amazing experience and something I'm looking forward to. Felix Nmecha
While the excitement is palpable, Nmecha admitted he has not yet had a formal introduction to the new boss. The 25-year-old noted he is waiting for the right moment to connect with Klopp and plans to speak with his club teammates to learn more about what to expect from the former Liverpool manager.
Klopp’s reign will officially begin on September 24 with a challenging UEFA Nations League clash against the Netherlands. This international window will be a busy one, featuring further matches against Serbia and Greece. Looking further ahead, the team will begin their qualification campaign for Euro 2028 in March 2027.
