Kharkiv club Metalist 1925 has announced the tragic death of Yuriy Mozil, the father of their first-team goalkeeper Oleg Mozil. Yuriy Mozil was killed while defending Ukraine.
In an official statement, the club's press office expressed their sincere condolences to Oleg and his family regarding this profound loss.
The 30-year-old goalkeeper has been with the Kharkiv side since 2022. Over that period, he has made 55 appearances for the team, keeping 13 clean sheets and conceding 75 goals. He has not featured in any matches during the 2025/26 season.
