Ex-Rangers star Kyle Lafferty completes shock transfer to Forth Wanderers

Former Rangers and Northern Ireland international Kyle Lafferty has completed a surprising transfer to Forth Wanderers, a side currently competing in the eighth tier of Scottish football. The 38-year-old forward moves to the West of Scotland Football League Second Division outfit following a stint with Johnstone Burgh.

The deal was facilitated by businessman and GUN drummer Paul McManus, who is backing an ambitious long-term project at the club. The leadership at Forth Wanderers views the arrival of the veteran striker as a statement of intent to raise standards and build a squad capable of climbing the football pyramid.
