Manchester City are preparing to officially name Enzo Maresca as their new head coach. According to British media reports, the appointment could be confirmed as early as this week.

The Italian is expected to sign a three-year deal with the Premier League champions. The move will see Chelsea receive approximately €20 million in compensation for the early termination of his contract, which ran until January 2026.

Maresca will replace Pep Guardiola at the helm of the club. The two coaches have a history together, as Maresca previously served as part of Guardiola's coaching staff at Manchester City during the 2022/23 season. Now, he returns to the club as the primary manager.
