Enzo Maresca, who took charge of Manchester City following Pep Guardiola’s historic decade, is focused on finding the missing piece for his squad. The 46-year-old acknowledges that while the squad remains strong, the loss of experienced figures like Bernardo Silva, John Stones, and Nathan Ake has created a void that needs addressing.

The club has been linked with moves for Chelsea defender Malo Gusto and winger Pedro Neto. This need for older heads is particularly pressing amid reports of Real Madrid interest in midfielder Rodri.
Director of football Hugo Viana is currently in South Korea, managing negotiations alongside the team's pre-season tour. Maresca confirmed he is in constant dialogue with the recruitment team to identify the right profiles to complete his tactical puzzle before the Premier League season begins.
