England boss Thomas Tuchel recalls Trent Alexander-Arnold and Cole Palmer with warning

England head coach Thomas Tuchel has confirmed the return of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Cole Palmer to his squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures. Both players were omitted from the squad for the summer tournament in North America but have earned recalls following strong starts to their club campaigns.

Tuchel stated that while the "door is always open," the onus is now on the players to justify their selection. He clarified that Alexander-Arnold, who has been playing in midfield for Real Madrid, will be utilized as a right-back for England. The coach also noted that Palmer's recent goal contributions have made his return impossible to ignore.
