Al-Ittihad's efforts to secure a replacement for their former Brazilian midfielder Fabinho have faced a major hurdle. According to reports, German giants Eintracht Frankfurt have entered the race to sign Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika during this summer transfer window.
Despite an official offer from Al-Ittihad, the competition from the Bundesliga club has complicated the deal. Club Brugge currently value the 25-year-old Nigerian international at approximately 10 million euros.
With Onyedika's contract set to expire at the end of next season, both clubs are eager to finalize their moves. The midfielder enjoyed a productive campaign last year, making 42 appearances across all competitions while contributing three goals and two assists.
