Dynamo Kyiv to hold talks with Oleksandr Karavaiev amid Shakhtar interest

Dynamo Kyiv is set to engage in discussions with 33-year-old defender Oleksandr Karavaiev to retain him at the club. Coach Ihor Kostiuk confirmed the intention to find a compromise and secure a contract extension for the experienced player.

Shakhtar Donetsk has reportedly shown interest in the defender, offering a two-year deal. This potential move is cited as the primary reason behind the player's current hesitation to sign a new agreement with the Kyiv-based club.

Oleksandr Karavaiev has had a productive season, featuring in 31 matches while contributing four goals and five assists. His market value currently stands at 1.2 million euros.
