Bologna manager Domenico Tedesco has spoken about the physical readiness of forward Artem Dovbyk ahead of the Serie A Matchday 2 fixture against Atalanta. The Ukrainian international, who recently joined the club on loan from Roma, is currently working to reach his optimal fitness levels.
Tedesco confirmed that the player is making gradual progress following his training period in Rome. According to the manager, the striker still requires more time to fully integrate into the team's rhythm.
He feels better. He spent three weeks training in Rome, including 45 minutes in a friendly match, but he needs to continue getting into shape. We hope he can spend a bit more time on the pitch than the half-hour he played against Lazio. Domenico Tedesco
Dovbyk made his debut for Bologna in the opening round, coming off the bench for approximately 30 minutes in a 0-1 loss to Lazio. The match between Bologna and Atalanta is scheduled for August 31, starting at 21:45 Kyiv time.
