Anderlecht's Ukrainian forward Danylo Sikan has reflected on the team's 3-1 victory over St. Truiden in the ninth round of the Belgian championship, a match in which he scored two goals.
Sikan stated that he finally feels back to 100% fitness. "I am very happy that I scored these important goals for the team. Of course, the fans expect more than fourth place for Anderlecht, but we needed to consolidate our position, and we did that," he said.
For me, this is a lost season. That is how I see it. But these goals are not mine; they are the goals of the whole team. Danylo Sikan
The forward noted that he worked hard to return after his injury, admitting that he felt pain during his first weeks at the club. He credited the support of his teammates and the coaching staff for helping him through the recovery process.
