Barcelona and Spain midfielder Dani Olmo has shared his reflections on the 2026 World Cup. Following Spain's triumph in the tournament, the playmaker highlighted several teams that caught his attention with their impressive performances.

While noting the success of Cape Verde, Paraguay, and Norway, Olmo specifically mentioned the Egyptian national team. "Egypt surprised me too," he told the Spanish newspaper Diari de Terrassa. Egypt made a notable impact before bowing out in the round of 16 after an agonizing 3-2 defeat to eventual finalists Argentina.

Olmo attributed Spain's success at the World Cup to a strong collective spirit. He explained that at the highest level of international football, the margins are incredibly slim, and fostering a "family" atmosphere between players, staff, and coaches proved to be the difference-maker for the champions.

With the World Cup now added to their trophy cabinet alongside the European Championship and the UEFA Nations League, Olmo is shifting his focus to club football. He emphasized that his goal for the season is simple: to win every competition with Barcelona.
