It was initially expected that the defender would attend the Argentine Primera Division Apertura final between his boyhood club Belgrano and River Plate this Sunday. However, he is now at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as the team prepares for the decisive season finale.
Head coach Roberto De Zerbi had previously defended the decision to allow Romero to travel to Argentina for rehabilitation, stating it was a move agreed upon by the club's medical staff. While acknowledging the fans' frustration, the coach maintained that the process was handled professionally.
