Cristian Chivu named Serie A Coach of the Season for 2025/26

Inter Milan manager Cristian Chivu has been officially named the Serie A Coach of the Season for 2025/26. The announcement was made by the Italian top-flight league.
In what was his first full season managing at the senior level, the Romanian coach led the team to a domestic double, clinching both the league title and the Italian Cup. Given his immediate impact and success, it is expected that the club will look to extend his contract in the near future.
The league also announced individual player awards by position:
- Best Goalkeeper: Mile Svilar (Roma)
- Best Defender: Marco Palestra (Cagliari)
- Best Midfielder: Nico Paz (Como)
- Best Striker: Lautaro Martinez (Inter)
The main individual MVP award for the season will be announced at a later date. Traditionally, this honor is awarded to a player who was not already recognized as the best in their specific position.
