Como officially deny interest in Riyad Mahrez
Italian club Como has dismissed reports linking them with free agent Riyad Mahrez following his unexpected exit from Al-Ahli.

Como sporting director Carlo Alberto Ludi has officially confirmed that the club has no interest in signing Riyad Mahrez during the current summer transfer window. The statement comes following widespread reports linking the 35-year-old winger to a move to Serie A.
Mahrez became a free agent after Al-Ahli unilaterally terminated his contract. The Saudi club exercised a specific clause in his deal that allowed for termination before the end of June 2026. The decision came as a surprise to the player, who was representing Algeria at the time.
During his tenure with the Saudi side, Mahrez made 122 appearances, recording 37 goals and 50 assists. His time at the club included winning back-to-back AFC Champions League Elite titles and the Saudi Super Cup.
With his future now open, Mahrez is reportedly attracting interest from various clubs across the globe. Potential destinations mentioned in the press include Chicago Fire, Al-Sadd, Fenerbahce, Le Havre, Atalanta, and Coventry City.
