Chelsea Nearing £75m Deal for Adam Wharton

Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton. According to journalist John Herriott, the clubs are in the final stages of negotiations regarding the 21-year-old's transfer.
The deal is expected to be worth around £75 million. The player is reportedly keen on the move, as he looks to take a significant step forward in his career and join a club that competes for top honors consistently.
During the 2025/26 season, Wharton has been a regular for his current side, featuring in 53 matches across all competitions. He has contributed one goal and seven assists, highlighting his impact in the midfield.
Separately, the two clubs are also discussing the potential transfer of defender Axel Disasi, although these talks are not linked to the negotiations for Wharton.
