Denmark head coach Brian Riemer has cleared himself of blame regarding Erling Haaland's failed transfer to FC Copenhagen in 2017.
Ahead of the UEFA Nations League clash against Norway, Denmark head coach Brian Riemer has addressed the long-standing story surrounding Erling Haaland's trial at FC Copenhagen in 2017.
At the time of the week-long trial, Riemer was working as the club's Under-19 manager, while Norway's current boss, Stale Solbakken, was in charge of the first team. Solbakken has publicly exonerated Riemer, confirming that his former assistant held no responsibility for the decision not to sign the then-young forward.

Riemer also rejected the underdog label for Denmark's upcoming fixture in Oslo. He emphasized the squad's technical quality and their absolute belief in securing a victory.
