London side Brentford are nearing the completion of negotiations to sign 34-year-old Callum Wilson. The former England international is expected to sign an initial 12-month contract, with the deal likely to be officially finalized this week.
Wilson is currently a free agent, having left West Ham following the club's relegation from the Premier League last season. The experienced forward brings a wealth of top-flight experience, having previously represented Bournemouth and Newcastle United.
The arrival of the veteran striker will impact the squad structure at Brentford, with Wilson set to provide competition for first-choice Brazilian forward Igor Thiago.
