Bologna in final stages of talks with Domenico Tedesco
Bologna is close to appointing Domenico Tedesco as their new head coach on a long-term deal.

Bologna has identified their new head coach. According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the club is in the final stages of negotiations to appoint Domenico Tedesco.
The German coach is expected to sign a contract running until the end of June 2028. He is set to replace Vincenzo Italiano, who has departed the club.
The wider context is that Bologna had previously explored other candidates for the role, but both Daniele De Rossi and Raffaele Palladino rejected the club's offers.
Tedesco’s most recent coaching role was with Turkish side Fenerbahce, where he served from September 2025 to April 2026. His previous experience includes managing the Belgium national team, as well as stints with German clubs RB Leipzig and Schalke 04.
