Birmingham City have secured the signing of France youth international forward Chancelle Effa Effa from Le Havre. The Blues, who won the WSL 2 title last season, are understood to have paid just over £100,000 for the 19-year-old striker.
Effa Effa rose through the ranks at Le Havre, making her senior debut at just 15 years old. She played a significant role in helping the French club earn promotion to the top flight and has represented France at every level from U16 to U23, scoring 17 goals in 28 youth international appearances.
I am very happy to be joining Birmingham City - such a historic club - and experience the Women's Super League. From my very first conversations with the club, I was won over by the project. Chancelle Effa Effa
Manager Amy Merricks described the forward as an exciting talent with huge potential who has already gained valuable experience in the French top flight. Alongside this move, Birmingham also confirmed the additions of Mark Beard as assistant head coach and Ben Chapman as goalkeeping coach to strengthen their off-field team.
