Bernardo Silva compares La Liga and Premier League styles

Real Madrid midfielder Bernardo Silva has shared his thoughts on the key differences between the Spanish and English top divisions. The player, who spent nine years representing Manchester City, noted that the Spanish game relies heavily on specific tactical approaches.

"La Liga differs from the Premier League in several aspects. In Spain, almost all teams try to use high pressure and build their attacks through short passing. There is noticeably less intense physical contact here, but the Spanish championship remains of a very high level." Bernardo Silva

Bernardo Silva joined the Madrid side last summer on a long-term contract. In the 2026/27 season, the 32-year-old has already made five appearances for the club across all competitions.
