Bayern Munich targeting Barcelona defender Jules Kounde

Bayern Munich has identified Barcelona defender Jules Kounde as a target for the upcoming winter transfer window. The German club is reportedly exploring the possibility of bringing the Frenchman to the Allianz Arena mid-season.

To facilitate the transfer, Bayern management is planning to offload Kim Min-jae for approximately 40 million euros. The proceeds from this potential sale would then be reinvested to strengthen the defensive unit.

Kounde has struggled to secure a consistent starting role as a right-back at the beginning of the 2026/27 season. Barcelona is reportedly open to parting ways with the player, provided they receive an offer exceeding 50 million euros. The defender, who has been with the club since 2022, is valued at 60 million euros and is under contract until June 2030.
