Bayern Munich have received a significant fitness boost as both Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala rejoined full group training. Gnabry has recovered from a 19-week absence due to an adductor injury, while Musiala has returned after managing issues related to neurological disturbances.
Despite their involvement, the coaching staff under Vincent Kompany is maintaining a cautious approach with Musiala, insisting that his reintegration should not be rushed. Both players participated in full sessions, including contact drills, appearing to be on a positive trajectory for their return to competitive action.
With their return, Kompany now has a fully healthy squad available for the first time in months. However, personnel changes are expected before the September 1 transfer deadline. Arijon Ibrahimovic missed the session as he nears a loan move to Augsburg with an eight million euro purchase option, while Sacha Boey continues to be sidelined as the club explores his departure.
The training session also saw a minor concern when Dayot Upamecano fouled Luis Diaz during a drill, requiring the Colombian winger to receive brief medical treatment. Additionally, Ismael Saibari drew attention by training with a bandage on his left wrist.
