According to reports from Tuttosport, Bayern Munich are showing interest in Cruzeiro striker Kaio Jorge. The Brazilian club is reportedly holding out for a substantial fee, with valuations currently sitting between €40 million and €45 million.
During the summer, Russian side Zenit made an approach worth approximately €30 million, but Kaio Jorge rejected the move as he prioritized a return to European football. His career has seen a resurgence following his time at Frosinone, where he scored three Serie A goals during the 2023-24 campaign.
This development is of particular interest to Juventus. When the Italian giants sold the forward to Cruzeiro for €7.2 million, they secured a 30% clause on any future resale. This creates a scenario where a high-profile move for the 22-year-old would result in a significant financial windfall for the Old Lady.
However, seeing a former player return to Europe for a high fee may stir feelings of regret in Turin. The situation draws parallels to the case of Dean Huijsen, who was sold for a modest fee before seeing his market value skyrocket elsewhere, highlighting the fine line between strategic selling and missed potential.
