Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has revealed his top candidates for the 2026 Ballon d'Or. The Frenchman firmly believes the most prestigious individual award in football should remain in his home country following a standout campaign for his international teammates.

In an interview with France24, Tchouameni highlighted the achievements of Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, and Michael Olise. He insisted that their performances throughout the 2025-26 season have set them apart as the leading figures in world football.

The Ballon d'Or must go to a French player, obviously. Kylian had an exceptional season, Ousmane too by winning the Champions League with PSG, and of course Michael Olise. Aurelien Tchouameni
