Atletik Futsal has officially announced the appointment of Denys Ovsyannikov as their new head coach. The 41-year-old, a former Ukraine national team player, takes over the team in the midst of the current Extra-liga season.
Ovsyannikov's coaching staff will include Vitaliy Dzyuba and Danylo Lutay. The club has not disclosed the details of the contract with the new manager.
Ovsyannikov replaces Oleksandr Kabanenko, who decided to step down just before the previous round of the Ukrainian championship. Under Kabanenko, the club achieved significant success, including a First League title, an Extra-liga runner-up finish, and qualification for the Champions League.
After three rounds of the current season, Atletik sits in third place with six points. The team's next challenge will be a match against HIT, scheduled for September 19.
