Atlético Mineiro is preparing a special event, dubbed 'AeroGalo', to welcome its new reinforcement, Fred. The midfielder is set to arrive in Belo Horizonte this Wednesday, August 19, where a fan-driven celebration is being organized at Pampulha Airport.
The club secured special authorization from local authorities and the military police to facilitate the event, as standard arrival procedures typically restrict interaction between players and supporters. Fans are expected to gather starting at 10:00 AM, with the player arriving at 11:00 AM on a private aircraft arranged by the club.
Following the airport reception, Fred will head to Arena MRV for his official presentation and a press conference scheduled for 2:00 PM. He will be joined by fellow newcomer, Colombian midfielder Kevin Castaño, who is also being officially introduced today.
It is expected that Fred will remain at the stadium after his presentation to support his new team during the second leg of the Copa Sudamericana round of 16 against Red Bull Bragantino.
