Atletico Mineiro midfielder Matheus Iseppe set for loan move to Portugal
Matheus Iseppe missed Atletico Mineiro's training session and is nearing a loan move to a Portuguese club.

Atletico Mineiro midfielder Matheus Iseppe was absent from the team's training session at the Cidade do Galo facility on Monday, June 23. The 20-year-old is nearing a departure from the Brazilian club, with negotiations for a loan move to a Portuguese side in the final stages.
The club confirmed that the athlete is currently finalizing contract details with an unnamed team in Portugal. The transfer is expected to be completed in the coming days, providing the young midfielder with an opportunity to gain more playing time and experience after struggling to find a consistent place in the first team.
A product of the club's youth academy, Iseppe has found opportunities scarce at the professional level, having made only four appearances for the senior side — one last season and three in 2026. Earlier this year, he faced disciplinary action, including a fine and a period of training apart from the group, following a late arrival to a training session overseen by coach Jorge Sampaoli.
