Arsenal midfielder Ethan Nwaneri is set to join a group of young players training with the England national team as they prepare for the upcoming World Cup in the USA. He will be joined by Liverpool forward Rio Ngumoha, Fulham midfielder Josh King, and Bournemouth's Alex Scott at the training camp in Florida.
Head coach Thomas Tuchel confirmed the call-ups, noting that the young players will help maintain squad numbers and allow the staff to manage training loads effectively. Nwaneri, who spent the second half of the season on loan at Marseille, is also expected to assist the squad during friendly matches against New Zealand and Costa Rica on June 6 and 10.
This integration provides the coaching staff with the flexibility needed to prepare the main squad before the tournament begins. Following the camp in Florida, the England team will move to Kansas City for the remainder of the tournament. Their campaign kicks off on June 17 against Croatia, followed by group stage matches against Ghana and Panama.
