Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres is reportedly taking active steps to secure a move to Barcelona, with claims emerging that he is offering his services to the club on a daily basis. The 28-year-old, who joined Arsenal just last year, appears eager to explore a new challenge in La Liga.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is prioritizing attacking depth following the exits of Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres. While Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez remains a primary target, the ongoing challenges in securing other alternatives like Julian Alvarez have kept the door open for other options.
The situation at the Emirates Stadium has become increasingly difficult for Gyokeres. Last season, manager Mikel Arteta favored Kai Havertz for key fixtures, including the Champions League final. This shift in personnel has persisted into the current campaign, with Havertz starting in the Community Shield victory over Manchester City while Gyokeres was limited to a substitute appearance.
A departure would represent a significant change in direction for Arsenal, who invested £55 million in the striker. However, with the player under contract until 2030, the Gunners hold a strong negotiating position should they decide to facilitate a move before the transfer window deadline.
