London club Arsenal is exploring the possibility of hiring Borussia Dortmund chief scout Sebastian Krug. According to Sky Sport DE reporter Patrick Berger, the Gunners have already made initial contact with the 42-year-old German official.
Krug has built a strong reputation across Europe for his work in Dortmund. He played a significant role in the club's transfer strategy and was involved in several high-profile deals, most notably the signings of Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland.
Competition for the specialist is intensifying within the Premier League. In addition to Arsenal, both Newcastle and Tottenham are interested in the scout and are considering bringing him into their respective organizational structures.
It remains unclear what exact role Arsenal intends to offer Krug, especially considering that the club's current scouting and recruitment department is led by Maurizio Micheli, who joined only last season.
